Hi! I'm Elaine Xu, a graphic designer from Shanghai, China, currently studying in New York.

I've been passionate about drawing since childhood — it was always a hobby I enjoyed. My first introduction to design came when I helped friends create album covers for their music. That experience opened my eyes to the creative possibilities of design, and from that moment on, I knew it was something I wanted to pursue. I never imagined it would become my major.

Moving to New York for college was a life-changing experience. I instantly fell in love with the city—its energy, diversity, and creativity are unlike anything else. Every street, every sign, every piece of graffiti feels like a work of art. The fast-paced environment, the mix of cultures, and the constant flow of inspiration fuel my creativity and push me to explore new ideas in my work. Everything about this city is incredibly appealing to me, and being surrounded by such a dynamic atmosphere has deeply influenced my approach to design.

I see art as a diverse and ever-evolving field, which is why I love experimenting with different styles, techniques, and concepts in my design work. Whether it's branding, typography, illustration, or digital media, I enjoy pushing creative boundaries and finding new ways to communicate visually.

Feel free to explore my work. I hope it inspires you as much as the creative process inspires me!
