Hi! I'm Elaine Xu, a graphic designer from Shanghai, China, currently studying in New York.

I’ve loved drawing ever since I was a child—it was my favorite creative escape. My journey into design began when I helped friends design album covers for their music. That experience sparked my passion for visual storytelling, and I realized then that design was more than just a hobby—it was a path I wanted to explore deeply. Little did I know, it would one day become my life’s work.

Moving to New York for college was a life-changing experience. I instantly fell in love with the city—its energy, diversity, and creativity are unlike anything else. Every street, every sign, every piece of graffiti feels like a work of art. The fast-paced environment, the mix of cultures, and the constant flow of inspiration fuel my creativity and push me to explore new ideas in my work. Everything about this city is incredibly appealing to me, and being surrounded by such a dynamic atmosphere has deeply influenced my approach to design.

Art, to me, is an endless landscape of possibilities—always shifting, always inspiring. That’s why I thrive on exploring different styles, techniques, and concepts in my design work. From bold branding and expressive typography to intricate illustrations and immersive digital media, I love challenging creative limits and discovering fresh ways to bring ideas to life visually.
